1. Insurance Agent
One of the first people you will want to contact is your insurance agent. This is vitally important, even if the accident wasn't your fault. The primary reason for doing this is so that you can use some of the coverage your policy has to offer. For example, if you need to get your car towed, your insurance company might cover this cost.
Also, if you get hurt and need to see a doctor, you may want to take advantage of your policy's medical pay. One more reason to call your insurance agent is so that they can defend you if there is a claim against you.
2. Auto Collision Center
If your car has sustained damage due to the accident, you will want to call an auto collision center, like River's Truck Center. Oftentimes referred to as an auto body repair shop, they can work with your insurance company to make sure your car gets fixed in an affordable and timely manner. However, if your insurance company recommends a particular collision center, you do not have to use that one.
After contacting a collision center, you'll need to get your car inspected so that they can provide a quote for the repair job. While your car is getting fixed, some collision centers will even help you get a car rental.
3. Physician
Some car accidents cause severe injuries that warrant a trip to the ER. If your injuries weren't that bad, you should still contact your physician and make an appointment to get evaluated. In some instances following an accident, you won't experience any pain right away, but you could still have an injury of some kind.
This is why it's important to get examined by a physician. Oftentimes, the earlier an injury gets diagnosed, the easier it is to treat, and the more quickly your body will recovery.
